Found Photo

Here's a little picture that I had totally forgotten about. As I was rummaging around on my computer, bored today trying to find some photos to touch up, I came across this photo of my friend Ryan and his fiance Elise (sorry if I spelled it wrong), kissing as a firework explodes in the background at our Canada Day backyard party. It was a memorable day, and both Amber and I are hoping it is just the beginning of many to come.

Congrats again Ryan and Elise!!!

Another Music Video

Here is a new music video that I just finished working on. It was directed by Britt Wilen, and shot by Tony Edgar about a month ago. I edited the video here in Niagara, and it was finished at Notch in Toronto last Friday.

Enjoy!

A New Music Video

So Adam and I shot a music video a few months back for a young girl named Rachelle.

The video is for a song called Dear Amber, (ironically enough). I hope you enjoy!!

You can check out more of Rachelle's music on her MySpace Page.

A Life Less Gone

So, more and more people keep asking about the status of A Life Less Gone. Well, I'm going to post it here so that everyone can read it.

The film is currently being sent out to film festivals. We've sent it to I think 3 or 4 different festivals in Canada, and I'm not sure if any in the States. To be completely honest, I have no control over what is happening with the film. Since I stopped editing the film last October, I have had very little to do with it, except for a few minor edits after Aren finished his version of it.

I know that the sound is pretty close to finished, I have seen the most recent version of the film, with the sound completed, it was done by Kitchen Sync in Toronto, and they are incredible. There were a few song choices that I know the Producer wasn't happy with, and quite a few I was a little would rather change as well, but I don't know if anything is going to end up changing at this point. (then again, if we were to change everything I didn't like about the film, it would never get done).

We still haven't done the color correction, and online edit, which sucks, because I know that the version going out to film festivals is not the best possible version of the film. Yes the movie was shot on film, and it looks good, but there is a HUGE difference between full 2k HD resolution finishing and our shitty offline DVCPRO version, and I wanna see the difference.

But, like everything it comes down to time, and we just didn't have enough time to get it done.

So, in conclusion, the film has been edited, however, it is not 100% complete. We will not be sending out DVD's to anyone, for two reasons;

1) it's not a finished version
2) legally, we simply aren't aloud.

I understand some of you want some footage for your reels, and I wish I could give it to you, but I can't, if I do, we may not get distribution. I don't know if this is 100% true, this is just what our lawyers have told us.

Anyways, that is that for now, I hope we can have a distribution deal done soon, so that everyone can see it.
